Fractional COO & Interim CEO
Pro skater. Co-founder of Birdhouse with Tony Hawk. Investor. Today I work inside founder-led brands to get them ready for what's next.

Brand and numbers

Tony Hawk was the magnet for talent and culture. I ran the business. In the lean early years, Tony says Birdhouse wouldn't have survived without that.

Over 15 years it grew into a $35M+ business selling in more than 90 countries, and helped turn skateboarding into a global industry.

Then I became an investor. I backed founders early, watched some win big and some fail when the market turned, and learned as much from the scars as from the wins.

Most operators protect the numbers and lose the brand. Most brand people lose the numbers. I've spent 30 years doing both.

How founders work with me

Beside the founder

I take on the operational weight: the plan, the budget, the team structure and a calendar everyone runs on. The founder stays focused on what made the brand great: product, culture and vision.

Into the U.S.

For brands ready to win in America, many of them Nordic. The go-to-market plan, the company setup, the first customers and the right introductions.

Ready for what's next

Whether the next chapter is new capital, a strategic partner or a sale, I build the plan, the numbers and the track record to get there.

Every big decision gets tested on three things: the idea, the person leading it and the speed of execution. And two questions: is the timing right, and what can we leverage?

Let's Talk
I take on a few six to twelve-month engagements a year, usually with culture-driven consumer brands: action sports, outdoor, apparel, footwear, sporting goods, new materials and healthy aging. If that sounds like your company, send me a note.
I also speak at conferences and universities about what skateboarding teaches us about building companies.
